Responsible leadership, that is, making sustainable business decisions that consider the interests of all stakeholders, has been gaining attention in recent years. Following that theme, management researchers from 45 countries gathered from Oct. 23 to 25, 2019, to presented their research on what responsible leadership means in the context of a rapidly changing world, particularly in rising and transforming economies. The Academy of Management (AOM) specialized conference at IEDC – Bled School of Management in Slovenia attracted 230 researchers, professors and doctoral students.
“We are privileged and honoured to have hosted the specialised conference of Academy of Management at IEDC-Bled School of Management,” said Danica Purg, leader of the Slovenia Organizing Committee and Dean and President at IEDC – Bled School of Management, Postgraduate studies. “At the conference we explored various ways in which scholars from the field of management development can work with companies, politicians, NGOs, media and other stakeholders for more responsible leadership and sustainable innovation. Through initiatives such as the CEEMAN – International Association for Management Development in Dynamic Societies we are committed to continue developing responsible leaders and conducting relevant research for better society.”
